  • Notes
    • Thought to be the Ann Prescott (wid) who married boatman Richard Hesketh at St John the Baptist, Burscough, in 1866 (listed in the Burscough Boatmen book) - but the Bow Lane microfilm is unreadable. Richard and Ann Hesketh are in the 1871 census in Stanley Dock, Liverpool, with sons Thomas, 12, and John, 9, both b "Boscastle" (Burscough?): These are thought to be Ann's (Prescott) sons from her first marriage. Richard and Ann are also in the 1881 census on the canal at Melling, ages given as 50, with a niece Alice Forshaw, 13, b Burscough.
