    • Death registered in Wigan, Q3 1879, age given as 38; abode Lathom in burial record.
      After returning from his brother William's burial in Burnley (q.v.) Isaac drowned when his boat Catherine partly capsized in Rose Bridge Lock, Ince, and was flooded after his wife and children escaped. (See Documents section for press report and transcript of the inquest, when an Open vedict was recorded.)
