• Notes

  John married Elizabeth nee Bell as a widower, but his first marriage is uncertain. The is one that appears to fit in 1852, St Leonard, Middleton (Manchester) to Sarah Livsey, but this is unlikely as John and his father Samuel are weavers. In the 1861 census there is a John Fallows, age 8 b Liverpool, as son of John and Elizabeth - possibly Elizabeth's son from her first marriage.
