    Notes:

    Baptised as Houghton but married as Halton, the baptismal name of her older siblings. Her parents were William Halton and Ann Radcliffe, married in 1911, but William died as Houghton in 1840 and his widow and nine children, including Margaret, appear in the 1841 census as Houghton.
    Despite her being married as Halton, the birth records on Lancs BMD for all Margaret's children give her maiden name as Houghton.
