4. | Robert Musker was born in 1845 in Burscough (son of Henry Musker and Martha Prescott). Other Events:
- Occupation: Boatman
- Baptism: 2 Feb 1845, St John the Baptist, Burscough
Notes:
Robert's second wife died in 1878, and he appears as a widower in the 1881 census in Whitechapel Row, Weston, next to his first wife's Hulse family. Next to them (previous census page) is Mary Whitby, 29, with four apparently illegitimate children.
In 1891 he is again listed as a widower but with three children, Samuel 11, Mary 8, and Sarah A Musker 6, all born Weston Point, for whom no birth or other records have been found. They are believed to be children (by him) of Mary Whitby and are in the GRO Online Birth Index with no mother's maiden name given: Samuel Whitby, Q2 1881; Mary Emma, Q4 1882; and Sarah Ann, Q3 1884. A probable death is recorded for Mary, Q1 1885 Runcorn, age 33.
Samuel Whitby married Sarah Jane Miles, 1903 Runcorn and in 1911 is a chemical works fireman in Weston Point;
Mary E Whitby married Thomas F Robinson, 1902 Runcorn, but not found in 1911;
Sarah Ann Whitby married Charles James Littlemore, 1904 Runcorn, who in 1911 is an electrician's labourer in Weston.
Robert married Hannah Hulse on 12 Sep 1864 in St Nicholas, Liverpool. Hannah (daughter of James Wright and Ann Green, daughter of Thomas Hulse and Elizabeth Hatton) was born about Feb 1847 in Northwich; died about Nov 1868 in Northwich, Cheshire. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
