    Not found in censuses before 1871 under either name. Eccleston in marriage record, and in 1871 census, birthplace Burscough, with wife's cousin Henry Disley.
    In 1881 census as Eccles, birthplace Liverpool, with wife Naomi and four children.
    Eccleston in death and burial records. Three children baptised as Eccles, three as Eccleston.
