Appears to have been abandoned (pregnant with Harriet) by husband John at about the time he married (presumably bigamously) Martha Ann Chadwick in January 1876.
In 1881, John is in Keighley with son John Henry, 17, and wife Martha, while Mary (married) and Harriet are in Ridgeway Street, Manchester.

Mary married John Greaves about Aug 1858 in Bury Register Office. John was born in 1825 in Eccleshill, Bradford; died before 1901. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
