    Notes:

    No marriage record found, but in 1851 census as (presumed second) wife of John Lea. Stepson James Robinson, 14 b Burscough in same entry, apparently Ellen's but thought to be possibly the James Robinson, son of James and Catherine Robinson nee Foster (qv), who emigrated to South Africa and changed name to Smith.
