Plain Richard in baptism record (no father named) but Richard Fawcett Mann in both marriages with father named as William, a victualler, in 1848 but Henry (deceased) a cloth dyer in 1891.
In 1851 and 1861 censuses with wife Mary and children as Whitaker (his mother's married name).
In 1871 on boat in Driffield as Whitaker (with his son-in-law's brother, Robert Wray) while his wife and children are in Knottingley as Mann.
Not found in 1881 but Whitaker again in 1891 census. (Birthplace given as Driffield in 1891, Goole in 1901.)
