  1. 2.  Henry Abram was born in 1797 in Rufford (son of Thomas Abram and Margaret Moss); died on 23 Sep 1849 in Canal Bank, Liverpool; was buried on 24 Sep 1849 in St James Cemetery, Liverpool.

    Notes:

    Henry had a sister Mary, b1800, who married (1838 Liverpool) George Parkinson, a coachman, servant at Ashton Lodge, Ribchester - perhaps explaining the middle name of two of Henry's children.
    A descendant, Denise Probert in Australia, quotes a Liverpool Mercury report (11.11.1835) that on Nov 11th Henry 'heard a splash while working in the canal office and saw a hand reaching out from the canal. The man he rescued after plunging in was drunk, and revived at the Northern Hospital.'
    She also says: 'Unfortunately Henry, his daughter Margaret and son Henry, all died of cholera in September 1849. Henry punctiliously registered his son's death on the day the boy died. The family were living at Stopgate House, Canal Bank, at the time.'

    Henry married Mary Ainscough on 8 Apr 1822 in St Michael and All Angels, Croston. Mary was born in 1800 in Mawdesley; died in 1829 in Liverpool; was buried on 24 Apr 1829 in St Mary the Virgin, Rufford. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
