    Widowed landlady/licencee of public beer house in Grimshaw Park, Blackburn in 1921 and 1939 censuses - apparently known as the Who Would O' Thowt It.
    A 'Looking Back' item in Clogs & Gansey, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal Society newsletter (No 57, Autumn 2023) says the pub's name may have come from a Director of Dutton's Brewery who, looking for new sites, called at a clogger's shop in Park Road, Blackburn. The clogger was somewhat disgruntled because he sold under-the-counter ale, to which the Director replied 'Who would o' thowt it?'
