1. | Edward Robinson was born in 1809 in Lathom (son of Edward Robinson and Ann Georgeson); died in 1859 in Lathom; was buried on 7 Apr 1859 in St John the Baptist, Burscough. Other Events:
- Occupation: Weaver, canal labourer, boatman
- Baptism: 22 Dec 1809, St Peter and St Paul, Ormskirk
Notes:
The 1841 census has two children - Ann, 12, and James, 10 - with Edward and Catherine who seem not to be theirs. (Their own daughter Ann, 6, is also listed.) Baptisms exist for Ann Robinson 15.2.1829 St Michael, Aughton, and for James Robinson 10.4.1831, St Mary the Virgin, Rufford, both to parents Thomas (boatman) and Catherine, so possibly niece and nephew, though the names conflict with the known children of Edward's brother Thomas and Catherine nee Culshaw.
Edward married Catherine Radcliffe on 26 Sep 1831 in St Peter and St Paul, Ormskirk. Catherine was born in 1807 in Lathom; died in 1856 in Lathom; was buried on 7 Dec 1856 in St John the Baptist, Burscough. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
