    Notes:

Lancs OPC has groom's name as James Seddan, thought to be a mistranscription - Jas Seddan for Jos Peddar.

Joseph married Ellen Ashcroft on 22 Dec 1788 in St Peter and St Paul, Ormskirk. Ellen was born in 1766 in Lancashire; died in 1846 in Burscough; was buried on 19 Dec 1846 in St John the Baptist, Burscough. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Notes:

    Helen in burial record.
A Henry Pedder, 15, is living with Ellen and her grandson Joseph Lewis (Pedder) in the 1841 census, so is assumed to belong to this family but no baptism record has been found.
He appears to have been the boatman who married Frances Wignall at St Peter, Liverpool, 26.4.1844, naming his father as John Pedder, boatman, for whom no other record has been found. Hard-copy records of Henry and Frances's family are filed in our family tree folder for Joseph Pedder(1765) and Ellen in case a link emerges.
