    Birthplace given as Cheshire in 1841 census, what looks like Hawarden in 1851, Runcorn in 1861.
    Two possible baptisms: 24.11.1805 Thornton-le-moors, nr Helsby, to John and Catherine; or 13.04.1806, Ince, to Samuel and Ann.
    Maiden name not given in son James's birth record, Hughes in William's and Mary Ann's, Hignett in others. Apparently met a Mr Gaskill after the death of her husband in 1842, but no subsequent marriage found.
