The Liverpool Mercury of Friday October 13, 1837, reported Thomas's death: 'On Monday last, suddenly aged 40, Mr Thos Rigby of the firm Tyrer, Rigby & Co, canal carriers, sincerely regretted by his family and friends.'

Thomas married Mary Ann Jones on 27 May 1822 in St Anne, Liverpool. Mary (daughter of Thomas Jones) was born in 1800 in Liverpool; died in 1875. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
