    A Simpson Chatterley was baptised 14.8 1763 Stoke (Staffordshire C of E Baptisms, Ancestry) son of Christopher (Xtoph) and Jane. But there is a marriage 6.4.1763 at St Mary and All Saints, Whitmore, Staffordshire of a Moses Chatterley to Jane Simpson, which would explain the several Simpson forenames in this family.
