    • An entry in the 1891 baptism records for Christ Church, Douglas-in-Parbold states "Publicly recd June 28th" with notes in the margin saying: "Baptised when in the parish of Upholland" and "Aged 3 years & 4 months. The mother asserted that this child was privately baptised soon after birth. There was every reason to believe her statement."
