Oddly absent in early censuses while the younger Thomas Peter is recorded with his parents in 1841/51.
Family not found in 1861/71 censuses. In 1881 recorded with wife and family as master of (?)Crick, 21 tons, iron trader at East Dudley Works, though his individual entry is struck through - age 50, b Compton, Staffordshire (next village to Tettenhall). In 1891, age 60 born Wolverhampton, as head of extended 17-member family including in-law sons and daughter.
