    The 1911 census records just five children born, all still living, but this is thought to be a misunderstanding referring to the five children living with the couple when the census was taken. Baptism and death records indicate that there were 11 children, five of whom died in infanmcy - the other child, Margaret b1888, is living in Blackburn with her husband Arthur Aspden.
