    With wife and son in 1891 census, but apparently separated before 1901 when he is in Blackrod with his next wife-to-be, 'Annie' Goodier (nee Hodkinson, wid Roberts) who he does not marry until 1920, after the death of his first wife Elizabeth in 1919.

    John married Elizabeth Ray on 29 Oct 1882 in St Lawrence, Frodsham. Elizabeth was born in 1862 in Overton, Malpas; died in 1919 in Tranmere, Wirral. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
